Anyone who encounters Markus F. Strieder’s work can experience that it does not require many words. What fascinates the viewer time and again about Strieder’s works is the art of simplicity, the poetry of the reduced forms, the sensual power of form and material, which here fall into one – the quiet, yet urgent presence with which these strangely alien, yet engaging steel sculptures and drawings confidently confront the viewer.
