For the love for art
we, Chris and Berni Fetzer, founded the gallery in 1977.
For many years we have been dealing with original prints, which is still a main focus of the gallery even today, with a large inventory of graphics by Marc Chagall and Pablo Picasso.
The contemporary art is represented by the artists Bernd Zimmer, Bim Koehler, Thomas Deyle, Nikola Dimitrov and many others.
PICASSO – From Minotaur to Guernica
12.02. - 02.04.2021
We are starting the new exhibition year with original prints by Pablo Picasso. The works are hanging, but for now we can only present them online.
In impressive etchings from the famous Suite Vollard, Picasso gives an impression of his personal conflict between his wife Olga and his beloved Marie Thérèse. Here he takes up, as his Alter Ego, the figure of the Minotaur, this hybrid creature from ancient mythology.
Picasso reacted politically for the first time in 1937. As a protest against General Franco’s regime and in support of the Spanish Republicans, he etched the cycle "Dream and Lie of Franco". In the same year he created his famous painting "Guernica" for the Spanish pavilion at the world exhibition in Paris. The original poster from 1953 as well as some rare small etchings, are part of the exhibition.
Open again on appointment.
