The “Kinderstern” stands for the rights of children.

The donations to “Kinderstern” go directly to children in need.

“Kinderstern” is the name of an artwork by Imi Knoebel, showing a star which resembles a child’s star. Since 1989 Imi Knoebel has been constructing Kindersterne, wooden objects coated with acrylic. In the same year “Kinderstern e.V.” was initiated as a non-profit organization. Its tasks are the detection of projects carried out exemplarily by non-profit initiatives to help children in need, the acquisition of donations for them, and the guarantee that the administration costs are kept at a minimum.

“Kindersterne” can not be purchased, they are donated to all those who support the concerns of “Kinderstern”, the donators.
