In earlier works by Nikola Dimitrov on the subject of The Seven Deadly Sins / extra muros, an expressively gestural application of paint dominated.
Since 2007 the artist has been working with rhythmic lines of horizontal, vertical and diagonal overlays in his works.

In 2011 he took up the motifs of the Seven Deadly Sins in the cycle of the “Eight Allegories” and translated them into his new visual language, visible in a high-contrast combination of black and white pigments. Thus the transformation of the theme is continued in the “Eight Allegories”. In this way, a new value system with an independent artistic visualization developed from the traditional interpretation of this symbolism.
