BERND ZIMMER – Bilder aus fünf Jahrzehnten

“BERND ZIMMER – Paintings from five decades”
This exhibition is not only a foray through five decades of painting but equally through various landscapes and continents that have shaped the work of Bernd Zimmer on numerous trips. Thus the exhibition shows deserts, inspired by the landscape of Namibia, as well as the lakes of the Uckermark and pictures about the cosmos.
With “Schneeschmelze” (1977), the first painting that the painter was able to sell to a collector, meets current works, such as “Wandel IV” (2022).

With many personal texts and reminiscences, the accompanying catalog also looks at Bernd Zimmer’s view of nature, which has been echoed in his paintings over five decades.
